More than 40 years of evolution in the construction sector, marked by specialisation, adaptability and the development of technical solutions. A track record based on knowledge, experience and commitment to every project.

1980s

1980s · Technical origin and vision for the future

In 1984, MAQUIOBRAS was born at the hands of Félix Ferruz, a professional with a solid track record in the sector who drove the project with a clear objective: to provide reliable solutions in machinery and formwork for construction.

From an 800 m² warehouse in La Puebla de Alfindén (Zaragoza), an activity based on technical knowledge, proximity, and on-site responsiveness began. From the very beginning, the second generation joined the project, actively participating in its development and laying the foundations for its continuity.

During this initial stage, the pillars of the company were defined: specialization, customer focus, and a way of working centered on solving real needs with effective solutions.

1990s

1990s · Growth, diversification, and major projects

Continuous business growth drove the relocation to a 4,000 m² facility in Villanueva de Gállego in 1990. MAQUIOBRAS expanded its production capacity and took a step forward in volume and ambition.

Participation in large-scale projects such as the Seville Expo and the Barcelona Olympic Games (1992) marked a turning point, establishing the company as a reliable supplier in highly demanding environments.

In 1993, the value proposition was expanded to include formwork rental for construction, providing greater flexibility and adaptation to customer needs. By the mid-decade, interventions such as the César Augusta Shopping Center consolidated its activity on a national scale.

2000s

2000s · Specialization, brand, and internationalization

The evolution of the business resulted in 2003 in the expansion of facilities to 10,500 m², increasing production and logistical capacity. That same year, Trading ALQUIOBRAS was born to independently manage the rental division, optimizing service and differentiating business lines.

MAQUIOBRAS moved towards specialization in formwork systems, progressively phasing out machinery. Growing international demand drove the creation of an export department (2006).

The launch of the website (2008), participation in SMOPYC —with institutional recognition— and the 25th anniversary (2009), alongside projects like the T1 at Barcelona Airport, reflected its evolution and technical capability.

2010s

2010s · Innovation, system development, and international projection

Participation in more than 10 international trade fairs such as BAUMA (Germany) and BATIMAT (France) drove the company's global outreach and its connection with industry trends.

In 2011, the launch of the Serie 80 (S80) system represented a breakthrough in the development of proprietary solutions, aimed at improving on-site efficiency and finish quality.

This stage was characterized by the continuous evolution of formwork systems, process optimization, and the transformation of MAQUIOBRAS into a technical partner for demanding projects.

2020s

2020s · Special solutions and global consolidation

The last decade reflects the maturity of the company and its technical capacity to tackle unique projects on an international scale.

Interventions such as supplying materials for the construction of a dome and emergency stairs for the BFI Bank in Nouakchott (Mauritania, 2020), materials for the formwork of a large bridge lintel in Africa (2022), or walls and columns for a hospital in Benghazi (Libya, 2025) evidence a clear specialization in custom technical solutions.

MAQUIOBRAS acts as a technical partner capable of designing, manufacturing, and supplying systems adapted to each project, regardless of its complexity or location.

The renewal of the website symbolizes a new stage focused on future growth, keeping intact the values that have defined the company since its inception.
